You could indeed spend a lifetime trying different spots and still not visit every restaurant and every creative combination that New Yorkers are known to innovate, but it is possible of course, to get a glimpse of its highlights and iconic meals.
In New York, you can get dozens of chances to appreciate high-quality gastronomy, in exquisite settings where you can experience the city’s gastronomical culture cultivated over the decades.
That is why Parla is thrilled that its furniture also makes a statement in the renowned world of cuisine in New York. Positioned across the city through five interesting and unique projects, Parla has had the chance to exhibit its skills in design, craftsmanship and project management. Making sure the quality and finish of our pieces match the expertise of the culinary masters, we delivered results to confidently boast about. As an exciting coincidence, our projects in New York to date have been for restaurants that each serve dishes from different cultures, giving us a chance to help add new flavours into the city:
Ci Siamo, in Manhattan West, is bridging the traditional with the modern, Italian live fire cooking with seasonal dishes in a relaxing, familiar space designed by Goodrich.
Hutong, in Midtown Manhattan, being the first US location of an award-winning Hong Kong-based restaurant, is a Michelin-starred establishment that offers Northern Chinese cuisine in a glamorous setting designed by Robert Angell Design International.
Oiji Mi, in the Flatiron District, is another Michelin-starred restaurant, presenting patrons with creative contemporary Korean dining, living up to the true definition of hospitality with its service, designed by Avroko.
Queensyard, in Hudson Yards, is a modern American restaurant with English-style decor overlooking an incomparable view of Thomas Heatherwick’s Vessel, an inspiring interior designed by D&D.
Aqua New York, is a swanky 400 seat 25,000 square-foot restaurant serving dishes from two amazing cuisines, contemporary Japanese and Italian.
Being trusted to manufacture pieces for such prominent projects serves as great motivation for our young and dynamic design team, who make sure all the intricate detailing of each project is communicated flawlessly to the craftsmen in the factory. The result of each stage of the project is well thought out, and the furniture turns out not only
beautiful but also comfortable and robust.
