Parla is back with an exciting project: an exclusive getaway to the French Alps!
The Experimental Chalet Val d’Isère, the stylish 4-star hotel, is a cozy winter escape with 113 rooms, two restaurants, a cocktail bar, a spa, and meeting spaces. From skiing on fresh powder to sharing fondue with friends and unwinding at the spa, it’s the perfect place to soak up all the magic of winter.
For this project, Parla worked with Experimental Group to provide the loose and fixed furniture of the hotel’s public areas. This project required extra focus and had higher stakes, as it would be Experimental Group’s biggest hotel so far. They are one of our repeat customers, and it’s always a pleasure collaborating with them as the feeling is mutual.
We were also excited to be one of the 70 companies contributing to the hotel, partnering with the architecture office CHZONE and lead architect Dorothee Meilichzon.
Completed in 2024, this project introduces a contemporary and refreshing take on the traditional chalet style. Parla’s furniture was used all over the restaurants, reception and the bar.
Our Sales Manager, Zeynep İlbars says, “This hotel’s design is very unique. The use of interesting materials and fabrics have been a highlight of this project. Just like our client’s name, the design style has been very experimental!”
One of the two restaurants in the compound, L’Aigle D’or, blends nature and ski culture with mushroom-shaped lamps, wood-paneled walls, and cozy woven fabrics, all in a palette of deep blues, reds, and soft yellows balanced by cool metal and marble.
Coming on to The L’Aiglion, the restaurant pays homage to Savoie’s beloved cheese, with a wood-fired oven at its heart and a stone counter where guests gather, warmed by the dancing flames behind.
Last but not least, the bar section is occupied by the renowned cocktail club, Experimental Cocktail Club, joining its iconic siblings in Paris, London, New York, Verbier, and Venice. For this one, expect inventive new drinks, and all-day snacks in a stylish alpine setting.
When guests retreat to their rooms, they encounter a cozy retreat with Savoyard charm, blending forest tones, rustic wood, and antler-inspired details.
It’s not everyday we get to work in the Alps, therefore we were lucky to have been selected for the task. See you next winter for more ski-themed projects!
