A new destination hotel by Kerzner Hotels, who are known for their skill in curating immersive experiences, Siro One Za’abeel is a wonder of a resort.
A concept hotel new to Dubai – the first fitness and recovery hotel in the area – empowers guests to reach their peak performance, in comfort, convenience and an unforgettable environment.
Designed by Jean-Michel Gathy, Siro One Za’abeel is in the heart of Dubai, next to Dubai World Trade Centre, connected to The Link – the world’s longest cantilever – that is one of Dubai’s most popular dining destinations, and also wonderfully separate from the hustle and bustle. Taking inspiration from the meaning of the name, ‘white sand’, Gathy created a design mood bringing together a soothing neutral colour palette with subtle sand motifs in textiles, artworks and sculptural lighting.
Designing One Za’abeel was an exhilarating journey and I’m overwhelmed to participate in this project. We aimed to capture the essence of Dubai’s dynamic spirit while paying homage to its rich cultural heritage and features. Every detail takes its cues from the Za’abeel location, hoping to transport guests to a realm of luxury and beauty where visitors could feel at home.” shares Jean-Michel Gathy. The legendary architect behind some of the world’s most iconic luxury hotel and resort designs, showcases his exceptional talent within this project once again.
The Kerzner brand makes it its mission to highlight the essence of local landscapes and communities, and they set out to achieve this with the Siro One Za’abeel project yet again. This is what really excited us at Parla. Whilst we thrive on the global reach of our services and products, to be part of a vision that respects localised cultures felt very close to our hearts.
Getting involved in the hospitality brand’s aim to create innovative, sustainable and unforgettable guest experiences meant that we embodied their values and manufactured all the casegoods and loose furniture for all of the bedrooms as well as all public areas of Siro One Za’abeel Hotel. Guided by LW Design we helped them bring the venue alive designing to their recipe of functional but unique pieces.
Being part of crafting an experience that inspires extraordinary memories for discerning guests, not only gave us an insight into the Siro Hotels approach but also taught us many valuable lessons. All very useful in the project we are working on next with the hotel brand: Siro Boka Place in Montenegro.
Definitely the right place to try out a hotel concept that puts emphasis on fitness and recovery equally, you can enjoy an all-encompassing approach to well-being with opportunities to take part in activities such as HIIT, pilates, spin, yoga, as well as wellbeing sessions such as compression therapy, cryotherapy, dry needling and IV therapy in the spa that spans 2000 square metres, and that has been developed in collaboration with world-class athletes.
Whilst this hotel is a symbol of ambition, innovation and the pioneering spirit of Dubai, receiving a Guinness World Record for the longest cantilever building in the world as well as a further three World Records related to having the largest projector show at its grand opening, the interior of the hotel is calming. Embracing a palette of black, white, and neutral tones, the overall design scheme exudes a sense of balance and harmony. With an emphasis on simplicity, the design showcases uncluttered aesthetics, creating a visually soothing atmosphere while maintaining a captivating allure. A wonderful juxtaposition of elements in a place famous for its indulgence and flamboyance.
Siro One Za’abeel: an oasis of elegant existence in the midst of it all, energising our being in the most contemporary way.
