Parla Experiencing Sur/Reality at Maison&Object 2025!

February 7, 2025

What better way to start the year than in the French capital, enjoying the renowned Parisian flair?

Parla made its debut at Maison&Objet’s 31st edition, a thrilling 4-day trade show in Paris. The Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition center was booming with over 2,000 brands participating and with industry talks of all kinds.

The theme “Sur/Reality” – highlighting French surrealism – took over the exhibition spaces in a dreamlike manner. The fair’s landscape mixed fantasy, randomness and humour, creating an appetite for the strange and surprising.

Parla’s approach to this show was all about exhibiting the new, at an event that was also new to us. We had a chance to showcase our newest and award-winning designs, in addition to our bespoke products.

The Hug armchair and new Nigiri armchair by Parla’s Head of Design Betül Inci, the Oyster coffee table by Enis Altinkaynak and the new Cora family of upholstered chairs by Seda Yetkiner were at the centre stage of our booth, and really shone a light on our young & dynamic in-house design team.

The Palm family of products, our collaborative collection with acclaimed French architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte was beautifully styled with the addition of different sized bistro tables in its own section, exploring the perfect balance between form, function, lightness and discrete elegance for both outdoor and indoor use.

Another collaborative effort was with the Spanish studio estudi{H}ac, for which Parla commissioned founder José Manuel Ferrero to interpret important elements of the brand within the design of the new collection. The collaboration that has initially birthed an armchair, oozed sartorial taste, had comfort at its core and really sang to the functional needs of hospitality. The armchair experienced its prelaunch showcase at this year’s Maison&Objet; the full launch of the collection will be later on in spring 2025.

Our team was very excited to present some of Parla’s products for the first time and proud to juxtapose its award-winning staples within the Parisian environment. Putting business aside, the international character of the show presented the perfect opportunity to make new industry friends and catch up with old ones.

To be at the heart of January’s hottest hospitality interiors, decoration and lifestyle event was truly an enjoyable experience for us.

We look forward to delivering more projects in France our return to Paris in 2026!
