Hug Armchair

Designer Betül Inci was inspired by the importance of human connection after the COVID-19 pandemic and created a unique armchair named HUG, which embodies comfort, craftsmanship, and artistry. The armchair’s rounded design, resembling a warm embrace, provides a comforting cocoon that reminds us of the power of human touch. The ‘HUG’ armchair stands out for its exceptional attention to detail, particularly in its wooden base. The smooth and polished accents made of oak wood are a testament to the exceptional artisanship of Parla. The precise workmanship and refined lines of the wooden base enhance the overall aesthetic of the armchair, adding an extra layer of sophistication to its design.

Being The Head of Design and Project Management Teams, Betul completed her studies on Industrial Product Design at Istanbul Technical University and Linneaus University of Sweden; adding furniture design training from Florence Institute of Design to her education in the following years.

Cleaning and maintaining upholstered furniture regularly is essential to retain the fabric’s appearance and prolong its lifespan. Over time, dust and dirt can cause furnishing fabrics to change color and exacerbate wear. Avoid rubbing the material hard as this could result in loss of color and damage the fabric. Vacuum the furniture using the upholstery nozzle to remove dust and avoid fluff and pilling. Wrinkles in the material can be straightened using a steamer.
